Emma is a subject matter expert who writes questions for the Certified Financial Planners’ Board exam. She is a published author and received numerous awards for her accomplishments. Emma was featured in Forbes Magazine, the Wall Street Journal, Atlanta Magazine, and The Atlanta Business Chronicle.
True financial planning entails using your goals, current assets, and wishes for the future to develop a complete picture of your financial situation. Emma uses this picture to help you reach those goals. Her depth of knowledge in retirement planning is enhanced with her Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designation.
A visionary who is dedicated, and passionate, Emma knew that there was another path she needed to forge after serving in the military, earning a degree in Computer Science, and working in a male-dominated, captive financial services environment. Emma was dissatisfied with the status quo and the lack of financial resources for minorities, women, and small business owners. She knew there was only one thing to do, so she “stepped up.”
Emma embraces evolution to ensure an uncommonly great client experience. In fact, her firm has evolved through name changes, service model changes, product changes, personnel changes, and still manages to break barriers and serve the often-overlooked communities.
Emma currently serves on the Carter Center Board of Councilors and Board of Advisors for Open Hearts Personal Care Homes.
Emma lives in Metro Atlanta with her wife, Petrina Bloodworth. They love to accumulate stamps in their passports. They are lovers of experiences and look forward to eating local foods and drinking local wines wherever their travels take them. Emma enjoys spending time with her family and close friends.
